The Project

On-Site Fabrication

The components of the ºÚÁÏÉçapp machine and plant—the large and the small—have been manufactured in the factories of the ºÚÁÏÉçapp Members and shipped to the ºÚÁÏÉçapp site ... except in two cases, where the components were simply too large to be transported. The largest poloidal field coils, measuring 17 to 24 metres in diameter, and the ºÚÁÏÉçapp cryostat sub-sections, measuring 30 metres in diameter, were produced in dedicated facilities on the ºÚÁÏÉçapp platform.
