Description

Purpose/Scope:

The purpose of the IPA is to carry out the design and development of heavy-load mechanical handling equipment and tools required for the assembly of systems, structures, and components (SCCs) within the ºÚÁÏÉçapp Tokamak, with particular focus on the in-vessel blanket and divertor regions. The IPA supports the development activities for the assembly tools that are ongoing with Domestic Agencies and supply companies.

List of activities:

The main activities to be performed by the IPA are to:

• Develops the designs for mechanical handling equipment and tools from pre-concept through to a substantiated engineering design;
• Develops interfaces between the handling systems and the concerned SSCs to ensure their constructability;
• Ensures proper integration of the equipment and tools within the ºÚÁÏÉçapp infrastructure;
• Performs structural analysis to justify the structural integrity of the systems;
• Produces general arrangement drawings and manufacturing drawings;
• Executes assembly operations and operation logistics assessments;
• Supports ºÚÁÏÉçapp Technical Responsible Officers in the ongoing technical follow-up of the works carried out by the Domestic Agencies (DAs) and suppliers, including participation in regular technical coordination meetings and project progress reviews.
• Any other activity related to the overall IPA activities.

• Experience with other system analysis tools such as MATLAB is an advantage.

1. Represents ºÚÁÏÉçapp to a variety of technical, scientific, VIP and general audiences, hosting worksite visits, speaking at external conferences and events, and staffing ºÚÁÏÉçapp exhibits.
2. Under the supervision of the ºÚÁÏÉçapp Stakeholder Liaison for India, researches and implements strategies for networking with key Indian officials and stakeholders who can be influential in shaping India's support for the project.
3. As part of the Private Sector Fusion Engagement Project team, responds to requests for ºÚÁÏÉçapp knowledge transfer from private sector entities, as assigned: reviews and transfers of ºÚÁÏÉçapp documents, engages technical experts, hosts technical visits, and other project elements.
4. Prepares regular articles on worksite progress and other technical topics for Bizz and the ºÚÁÏÉçapp internal newsletter.
5. Any other activities related to the IPA scope

The purpose of the IPA assignment is to support ºÚÁÏÉçapp in the data management for cables, cable tray supports and electrical loads.

List of activities to be performed

• Supports the data management and consistency of data for different ºÚÁÏÉçapp databases (3D model, cabling database):

• cabling and related equipment;
• cable tray and their supports;
• electrical data loads

• Prepares and issues the cabling data (cables, equipment, locations, rooms) for performing manual cable pre-routing and automatic routing;

Description

Purpose/Scope:

To prepare and monitor the coordination plan for a specific area of Tokamak Complex:

This IPA assignment demands a high degree of agility, technical expertise, and independence to proactively managecomplex engineering and corrosion-related preservation challenges. The ultimate goal is to ensure the integrity, reliability,and longevity of the ºÚÁÏÉçapp project's assets.

The IPA is tasked with conducting regular inspections and proactively identifying and resolving corrosion issues.

The IPA for Corrosion Engineering and Preservation Coordination is expected to propose, under the guidance of the PIPPreservation Manager, optimized preservation plans for the mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring equipment is wellprotected until start-up, cost-effectively and efficiently.

The IPA assists and reports to the PIP Preservation Manager in daily operations and acts as a liaison with otherdepartments. The IPA also supports the management of day-to-day contractual topics with the Preservation contractor(e.g., ensuring contractor resources are competent and properly trained, helps in case of issues with permits, scaffoldingneeds, etc.).

List of Activities:

1. Carries out regular planned and unplanned inspections:
   Proactively identifies potential Preservation and/or corrosion issues, analyzes root causes, and proposes solutions.
2. Maintains a clear register of all findings and follows up until closure.
3. Optimizes processes by driving continuous improvements in corrosion monitoring, prevention, and mitigationtechniques, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and best practices.
4. Troubleshoots corrosion issues: leads and manages corrosion-related projects:

• Drives complex technical corrosion-related topics to conclusion with the buy-in of the main stakeholders.
  Prepares technical specifications for the PIP Preservation manager to initiate contracts.
• Organizes and follows up on the works (in close coordination with the Coordination team) once the contract is signed,and ensures all transverse needs are met so that the Contractor can intervene without interruption.
• Ensures compliance through both planned and unplanned inspections.
• Always fully documents the decisions taken.
• Follows up on many of these tasks in parallel in an efficient way.

  The associate will do the work at height training in addition to classical training in ºÚÁÏÉçapp to be introduced to the projectand to the safety rules.
  It is requested that the associate have skills and knowledge in:
  - Advanced Corrosion/metallurgy/welding Engineering knowledge;
  - Experience in Inspection (NDT would be an advantage);
  - Good knowledge of Industrial systems (O&G or Nuclear plants);

Purpose/Scope

• Performing nuclear safety analyses regarding the potential events and hazards that could occur in the facility, in support of the ºÚÁÏÉçapp nuclear safety demonstration and licensing process.
• Preparing documentation in support of the ºÚÁÏÉçapp licensing process (e.g. safety reports).
• Providing support to the design and construction teams in the application of nuclear safety requirements arising from the analyses, verify the compliance of the systems with these safety requirements, and assess proposed modifications in relation with nuclear safety.

List of activities to be performed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs specific nuclear safety analyses regarding postulated initiating events, internal and external hazards, and develops the documentation associated with these analyses, and communicates outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
• Takes editorial responsibility for relevant sections of documentation (e.g. safety report, impact study) prepared for submission to the French nuclear safety authorities as part of the ºÚÁÏÉçapp licensing process.
• Implements and verifies propagation of the nuclear safety requirements for all protection important systems and components within the project.
• Verifies the compliance of the identified protection important components with their defined nuclear safety requirements.

Purpose/Scope

The ºÚÁÏÉçapp is developing advanced plasma simulation capabilities to support the refinement of the ºÚÁÏÉçapp Research Plan as part of its Integrated Modelling & Analysis Suite (IMAS). At present, a mature simulator combines a free-boundary plasma equilibrium evolution code (DINA) and a core-edge-scrape-off-layer/divertor modelling suite (JINTRAC). It is being further improved and refined to complete the development of plasma scenarios for the new ºÚÁÏÉçapp Baseline. In addition, a more self-consistent multiscale and multi-physics approach is being explored for modelling the plasma's response to external actuators.

The IPAs will contribute in one or more of the following ways:

• Extend IMAS integrated modelling capabilities to describe missing physics effects, enhance the self-consistency of the simulations, or improve the usability of the software;
• Develop ºÚÁÏÉçapp plasma scenarios using IMAS modelling capabilities;

List of activities to be performed

The following activities are foreseen:

• Develops ºÚÁÏÉçapp plasma scenarios for the 2024 ºÚÁÏÉçapp Baseline and ºÚÁÏÉçapp Research Plan using IMAS applications, including DINA-JINTRAC and/or other plasma simulators;
• Analyses simulation results and resolve modelling issues;
• Proposes alternative ºÚÁÏÉçapp plasma scenarios or optimization of existing scenarios considering physics, engineering, and operational constraints;
• Implements additional physics models following IMAS standards;
• Contributes to verification and validation activities and support application of IMAS software within the ºÚÁÏÉçapp Members' facilities;
• Provides support for training users on plasma scenario development with IMAS tools.
• Any other activity related to the overall IPA activities.
